Goal is to ensure the integrity of high availability network infrastructure to provide maximum performance for the users.
As manager explained, Company required a central server to store sensitive documents. Sometimes users required to scan and print documents, but it’s not practical to provide printers and scanners for individual users. HRM system is a web based system and should be hosted locally and should be accessible via Internet. All user accounts should be controlled from a central server. Social web sites, online Radio-TV channels & torrents should be blocked on the network.
Task 1
1.1 – Describe the following server types with their usage and benefits.
File Server Print Server
Distributed Scan Server Web Server
Proxy Server
1.2 – Describe the following which is very important to any network.
High Availability Failover
Disaster Recovery
1.3 List and describe 10 security measures to protect your network
Task 2
2.1 – Read the assignment scenario and gather company requirements. Suggest following things after analyzing the requirements.
Required services for the company Number of servers required
Suggest an Operating System considering cost and robustness
2.2 – Create a user feedback form to get the user feedback for a newly implement network.
Task 3
3.1 – Create an installation plan for the identified requirements in task 2.
3.2 – Create a test plan to verify all systems are working as expected.
Task 4
4.1 – Create a network baseline for normal performance without load & establishing performance with load.
4.2 – Describe 3 network performance monitoring tools.
4.3 – Describe 3 methods to optimize the performance of a server without changing the hardware.
