This is a group assignment, consists of 4 people in a group. You only need to submit ONE assignment report for each group.
As a Group:
- You choose to start a small wholesale business for one of the following items:
- Frozen foods
- Souvenir
- Perfume
- Computer/Hand phone
- You are required to create no more than ONE (1) page of transactions, which relate to the problems or challenges most likely will occur during the operation of business.
- Describe the business processes in brief for each transaction and draw out the document flows within your department. Each member will be in charge of a department: Sales, Purchase, Warehouse, and Accounting. (Optional: You may want to use some simple flowchart symbols to describe your processes).
- Identify and create the types of source documents pertaining to each transaction before entering to ledgers.
- Enter transactions into ledger.
- Prepare Income Statement and Statement of Financial statement Position for the financial period (you have chosen).
- Prepare no more than ONE (1) page of reflective report collectively. (Your group may want to demonstrate the understanding and application of certain accounting concepts)
- Marks are given based on the level of difficulty, complexity, creativity and accuracy of your works.
In your report, you should include but not limited to:
- Group Report Introduction
- Group Conclusion
- Group Report References
REPORT FORMAT:
- Please refer and implement the report format guideline below for the documentation:
- Use A4 size paper, each page of your essay should be printed single sided.
- All referenced research/ phrases must be well documented as footnote.
- Remember to include a content page together with the course cover sheet.
- Adhere to the following word processing requirements:
- All heading should be capitalized, bold and left-aligned.
- All paragraphs must be fully justified with 1.5 line spacing.
- All text must be typed in font type “Times New Roman”, size 12.
- Include details for name, student ID number, section and report topic in your cover sheet.
- Remember to append the assessment criteria in the 3rd page (pg 3-5)
- Make sure you insert page number in the footer section of each page.
- Remember to spell check your report.
- Margin for each page as follow (use Microsoft Word):
