Cost effective
Users access the system with a uniform environment i.e. web browser in web-based applications. The web-based application needs to be developed from a single operating system. It is not required to be tested for all configuration and operating systems. It makes troubleshooting and development easier.
Accessible
Web systems are accessible anywhere and anytime through PC with internet connection which is not possible for traditional applications (Dinh.et.al, 2013). When a user accesses the application, it puts the user in charge.
Easily customizable
In a web-based application, the user interface is customized easily than in a desktop application. This makes it easier to customize the presentation of information and update the feel and look of application.
Accessed by range of devices
Content is customized for presentation on varied range of devices apart from customizing content for user. It is easy to customize the information presented to user in web-based applications.
